At RockinDachs, we offer a thoughtful Legacy Home Enrollment system designed to ensure the best possible match for both our puppies and their future families. We believe in truly matching temperaments, which is why our selection process begins when puppies' unique personalities are clear—around 7 weeks of age. Please take a moment to read through our process below before submitting your application.

 

Our Waitlist Tiers: Finding Your Perfect Match

 

We offer two carefully designed waitlist options to best serve your needs as you seek your RockinDachs companion:

  1. The Legacy List
    • For Committed Families: This tier is for those who have thoughtfully chosen RockinDachs as their preferred breeder and are fully committed to welcoming one of our puppies into their home, even if it means patiently awaiting the arrival of their ideal companion.
    • First Selection Priority: Members of our Legacy List receive the first opportunity to select from litters that align with their stated preferences, based on our detailed temperament assessments.
    • Deposit: A $100 Waitlist Deposit is required to join.
    • Transferable: This deposit is fully transferable between litters if your perfect puppy isn't available in the first litter offered to you.
    • Applied to Purchase: Your deposit is applied directly towards the final purchase price of your puppy.
    • Price Fluctuations: Please note that joining the waitlist does not lock in the final puppy purchase price, as market conditions and associated fluctuations may occur during your time on the list.
  2. The Discovery List
    • Explore Our Litters: This complimentary option is ideal for families who are eager to see our upcoming litters but may still be exploring various breeding programs to ensure they find their perfect fit.
    • No Deposit: There is no deposit required to join our Discovery List.
    • Our Shared Goal: We understand that choosing a puppy is a significant decision, and we are just as committed to helping you find the right companion for your family.

 

Our Transparent Process: From Application to Matching

 

Joining our waitlists is a seamless process designed for clarity and confidence. Both tiers require a thoughtful application, as we reserve the right to ensure the best possible interest of our puppies in every placement.

 

Here's how our matching process unfolds:

  • Litter Announcements: We joyfully announce all new litter births on our social media channels! Be sure to follow @RockinDachs on Facebook and Instagram to celebrate with us. We'll share general updates, photos, and videos of the litter as they grow.
  • Legacy List Picks (Approx. 7 Weeks Old): Once our puppies' individual personalities and temperaments are meticulously assessed (around seven weeks of age), we'll email our Legacy List members simultaneously. You'll then have one week to review detailed profiles, photos, and insights into each puppy, making your cherished selection for a truly harmonious match.
  • Seniority: In cases where multiple Legacy members express interest in the same puppy, the member with the longest time on the waitlist will receive priority. The subsequent member can then select another available puppy or graciously pass on the current litter.
  • Discovery List Opportunities (Approx. 8 Weeks Old): Should any puppies remain after Legacy selections, we will email our Discovery List members simultaneously when the pups are around eight weeks old. You will have 48 hours to make your choice.
  • Public Availability: After the Discovery List selection period, any remaining puppies will be publicly listed.
  • Matching Flexibility: While your application guides us, your heart might lead the way! You are welcome to select any available puppy that captures your heart, even if it doesn't precisely match your initial preferences.

Navigating Your Legacy Home Enrollment Status:

  • Passing on a Litter: If a current litter isn't your perfect match, simply let us know!
  • No Loss of Place: Passing on a litter will not move you to the bottom of the waitlist; you will retain your seniority.
  • Limit: Legacy members may pass on up to five litters, and Discovery members up to three. Beyond these limits, we'll reach out to discuss your evolving preferences to ensure we're the right program for you.
  • Email Notifications: We send notifications to all waitlist members at the same time. While you retain your place if you miss an email, promptly responding ensures you have the first choice among available puppies before public listings.
  • Keeping Us Updated: It is vital for Legacy Home Enrollment members to ensure we always have your current contact information. If we are unable to reach you or do not hear from you after two litters matching your preferences, your status will transition to 'Inactive'. Should you wish to rejoin after being marked inactive, you will be placed at the bottom of the current list.
  • Our Right to Retain: While our waitlists receive priority, RockinDachs reserves the right to the first pick from any litter if we choose to retain a puppy for our future breeding consideration, ensuring the continued excellence of our lines.

Securing Your Cherished Companion: Hold Deposit

 

Once you have joyfully selected your perfect RockinDachs puppy, a non-refundable Hold Deposit of $500 is required to reserve them. This deposit is separate from any waitlist deposit and will be applied directly towards your puppy's total purchase price. Your Hold Deposit is due within 24 hours of your selection and will promptly lock in your puppy's final price.
